Journey to Consulting

Becoming an entrepreneur and running my own consultancy has long been a dream of mine. Knowing that I can use my communications background along with my writing and brand building expertise, I am excited to work with small businesses and new brands to build out custom-tailored plans to spread the word about their products and service offerings. My favorite projects to work on often involve in-depth brand exercises and layout design, but taking on traditional tasks like writing press releases or byline articles is second nature to me.

While I'm now a one-woman operation, I've been fortunate to have worked with some of the greatest minds in communications, marketing and branding that you'll ever meet. I've gleaned so much from them over the years and would be happy to facilitate introductions should a specific service be desired. Corporate Communications at Relativity

Guides team media strategy, which resulting in 400+ placements in business, tech and legal outlets in 2020
Leads thought leadership strategy for Relativity’s CEO, including interviews, bylines, awards and speaking events

Education

My passion for PR bloomed during my college years when I attended UMD (go Terps!). I graduated with a B.A. in Communication and minor in Spanish: Literature, Language and Culture. Outside of academics, I was a sister of Delta Phi Epsilon (Delta Xi) and was a member of Order of Omega, a Greek Honor Society. I also studied abroad in Madrid, Spain, for one semester during my junior year.

2019

University of Chicago

In discovering my interest in branding while working at Relativity, I took a course on building a brand for competitive advantage. Through the course, I created a brand for a mock diamond company by building brand architecture from scratch, creating elements like the mission, vision, brand promise and attributes, among others. Truth be told, this course really sparked my passion for brand building and motivated me to start my own business.

Interests

In my spare time you can catch me traveling around the world with my husband and baby boy, doing Pilates or yoga, curling up with a good book, skiing in the Rockies, eating my way through Chicago and hanging out at home with my bunny Belle.
